Currently 90% of the student population at Namal is on scholarship and with the launch of ‘Namal Knowledge City’, greater number of students from both rural and urban areas of Pakistan will benefit from the merit based scholarships. On December 19, 2020, with the efforts of the Ukrainian Initiative NGO, with the full assistance of the leadership of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Luhansk, a memorial plaque was unveiled at the library building in Starobilsk in honor of the spiritual father of Pakistan Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
