Ascendency for reforms
Praise be to Almighty Allah, Now, Imran Khan’s ascendency as the 22nd Prime Minister (PM) of Pakistan is indeed a spectacular outcome for Khan’s 22 year old political struggle. With over 10 million members in Pakistan and abroad, we claims to be Pakistan’s largest party by membership. In election 2018, PTI is Pakistan’s largest party in terms of votes, third-largest party in terms of parliamentary seats, the second-largest in Punjab and Karachi, and the largest in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
We Know, that our beloved country has a dire and well-established need for wide-ranging structural and institutional reform. The required reforms encompass tax administration, the wider civil service, management of state-owned enterprises, the energy sector, regulatory agencies, the central bank as well as the regulation of the corporate sector, among other areas. While addressing legislative and policy gaps is an important element of the reforms, the substantive part remains in the area of building (or rebuilding) state capacity and capability in policy formulation, implementation, monitoring as well as evaluation across a wide range of government function. So, our PTI introducing number of reforms in all national institutions to ensure transparency as promised in its manifesto.
Khan’s writings included Warrior Race: A Journey Through the Land of the Tribal Pathans (1993) and Pakistan: A Personal History (2011).
